Mrs. Nana Appiawiah, RN,BSN

Nana Akua Appiawiah is a licensed Registered Nurse with an undergraduate Public Health background from the University of California, Irvine. In 2017, she obtained a position with the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center as a Health Nurse Educator. She is an active member of the American Red Cross and the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society. She holds certification as a CPR and First Aid Instructor.

On a personal note, she is a Navy military wife of 8 years and has 2 daughters. She speaks English, Twi and is currently studying Spanish in Spain where she currently resides. She volunteers with the Naval Base Rota as a visiting nurse helping postpartum mothers with newborn health education, breastfeeding and emotional/physical well-being.

Growing up in Ghana, she always had a desire to help others in need and believes that every human being should have access to basic life necessities such as food, water, and shelter.
